Frequently Asked Questions
What is a business advisor?
A business advisor is an independent professional who, for a fee, helps a business owner to define and to achieve goals through better use of resources. As an advisor we are "change-agents " who not only propose change, but also help the business to implement it as well.
Why do I need a business advisor? Why can't I just do it myself?
Business owners hire business advisors for a variety of reasons:
1. The business owner needs an unbiased and fresh perspective on how to solve nagging business problems. An independent advisor can provide an analysis of the problems and will "tell it like it is", while suggesting improvements to the issues and underlying causes.
2. The business owner wants the advisor to perform specific technical tasks for which the business may not have the necessary talent or time to do. It is usually less expensive to engage a advisor for a limited term project than to hire a new employee.
3. The business owner may need a trusted advisor to bounce ideas off.
What About Confidentiality?
Before we even talk about issues confronting a business, we sign a confidentiality agreement promising to not disclose company information. We take confidentiality so seriously that we do not even tell others what companies we are working with.
